The first annual award banquet was held in 1986. Since then, the Foundation has selected 293 commendable winners from 43 different states and Washington, D.C. Over $2,930,000 has been distributed to deserving individuals, non-profit organizations, and groups whose nominators submitted detailed accounts of their memorable impact on justice.
